Money Audit

When you think about money, how does this feel in your body? Do you feel excited? Or fearful?

For many women, talking about our money blocks in our business brings up many uncomfortable sensations in our body. We may feel anxious, fearful, shame… and this feels yucky, so we want to avoid acknowledging those feelings.

We might push those feelings away by not looking at our finances, denying the fact we do want to make more money, undercharging our services, or giving more of ourselves in an attempt to prove our worth.

In the short term, this makes us feel good. In the long term, we can start to feel worse about money - not having enough, drowning in debt, worrying about how we will pay those big bills that come in.

And the cycle repeats.

Thinking about money > Fear, Guilt, Shame, Anxiety > Desire to avoid > Relief

Rinse and repeat.

The first way to start healing our relationship with money is to acknowledge that money evokes strong emotions. We can do this by checking in with our body and noticing the sensations that arise.

Try this:

  • Think about a money block you currently have in your business.

  • Close your eyes and gently scan your body from head to toe (almost as though a laser is going through each part of your body)

  • Notice any sensations - maybe you’ve felt warmth, tingling, coolness, tenseness, tightness, hot flushes, numbness etc

If you did notice anything in your body, then it is likely that you have unhealed money blocks that are keeping you stuck in your business.
